Breast Cancer Conference
1-2 April 2012
In the UAE and the surrounding region, breast cancer is often the number one killer for women. Due to this, running the Breast Cancer Conference alongside the Obs-Gyne Congress is essential as it specifically focuses on the treatment and management of breast cancer. Recently, there has been an increase on breast cancer awareness and with this an increase in women seeking treatment. This conference will be the go to event for all physicians who deal with breast cancer, whether it is the initial check up or the treatment phase or the recovery phase.
At the upcoming conference, there will be a focus on the local perspective, as well as the international perspective. The local doctors will share their experiences and challenges within the field, whether they are an oncologist, breast cancer surgeon or radiotherapist. Leaders in the field of Breast Cancer will be coming from the UK in order to give the latest information and updates when it comes to new drugs, trials and therapy.
In order to fully involve the delegates, there will be several sessions which will include their participation. This will include a session on Literature Reviews, where three papers will be discussed, as well as a Tumour Board Session. During the Tumour Board Session, any delegate can raise a case that they have dealt with in order to share their experiences with speakers and other delegates.
